Brief version:
I am retiring this blog. Please do follow me on LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/martinpergler/ More detail: Back when I started independely consulting in 2015, I figured why not try blogging on my shiny new website, even though my audience would be limited. Fast forward 8 years, and LinkedIn has become a much more dominant professional platform, delivering both eyeroll-inducing self-promotion and professional spam but also thoughtful discourse if you look for it. Starting during COVID, I started posting my thoughts there more, found some success, and eventually turned on their "Creator" mode where people can follow me even if they are not connections. I'm now routinely getting 100X+ as much engagement there as here. And meanwhile provider changes have added complexity to even monitoring this blog for spam. So there we go; adios separate blog. Please join my long-forgotten legacy personal Google webpage, and my even longer forgotten Geocities profile, in retirement. A quick note on LinkedIn following and connecting. Absolutely anyone can follow me (and anyone else) on LinkedIn, provided you have a LinkedIn account yourself. (LinkedIn has become sufficiently professionally ubiquitous that I don't think that's much of a limitation.) If we are not already connected, "Following" is the default choice LinkedIn provides. I am delighted to accept connection requests from anyone I have interacted with (physically or virtually), but I don't accept connection requests from strangers. Nothing personal; I just want connections to be people where I *should* at least be able to remember where I know them from... Comments are closed.
